Today I got up early and went to the beach to watch the sunrise. The beauty of mother nature is that every sunrise is different. The waves were calm, the pinks and oranges in the sky colored the clouds with an artist's care, and the wooden beach chair called out for me to just sit.
I receive some of my best ideas when I'm not trying to do anything other than listen and be in the now. It is then that my inner wisdom can come through - because she is not competing with the noise of the world.
Within each of us is an untapped reservoir of amazing knowledge, a connection to the quantum pool of all knowledge.
The people we call geniuses have simply learned how to tap into that reservoir. How?
Some received their enlightenment in dreams, some had flashes of "unity," others diligently worked at accessing this inner realm through meditation and prayer.
But we can all access it - it is a part of who we are.
We are all One and so is all information.
In my blog today, I tell the story of my friend Jason who called me last night to tell me how he accessed his inner genius yesterday with fabulous results!
In my own life, I have had many experiences accessing the inner genius - most of them have come because of my commitment to meditation and prayer, to creating a sacred time each day to shut out the noise of the world and just listen.
One person who really made use of accessing his inner wisdom was Elmer R. Gates (1859-1923). Elmer, who held dozens of patents, made his living "sitting for ideas." His tools were a quiet room, a pen, blank paper, and his mind.
He would simply get quiet and then ask for answers. When Napoleon Hill asked Dr. Gates to explain the source of his results while sitting for ideas, he gave the following explanation:
1. Knowledge stored in the subconscious mind
and acquired through individual experience
observation and education.
2. Knowledge accumulated by others through the
same media, which may be communicated by
telepathy
3. The great universal storehouse of Infinite
Intelligence, wherein is stored all knowledge and
all facts, and which may be contacted through the
subconscious section of the mind.
Our intution is a god given gift. But we must hone it.
"Your intuition is like playing the piano -- to be good at it you have to practice."
P.S. I invite you to visit my new blog and read more about the powers of your mind. I also spent alot of time yesterday with it - I wanted it to look pretty - visuals are so important to me. So I finally uploaded a picture of the beach that is just a few steps from my home so you could see my place of inspiration. |
