Today is the summer Solstice, the longest day of the year,
filled with abundant energy and lots of sunshine. Some say it is the most powerful day of the year!
The truth is, every day is the most powerful day of the year -- if we only decide.
Yesterday, on my birthday, two blessed soul sister friends showed up to share the day with me - and what magic we experienced!
We drove to a little town nearby named Lyons (at the recommendation of my incredibly intuitive friend Leslie) and found a magical drive down a mountain road named St. Vrain. Away from the highway, framed by nature's cut out rocks of millions of years and a roaring bubbling brook, we were instantly in the realm of mystical possibility. Teri stopped her convertible car (top down of course) and we just sat in the embrace of nature's love. I could hear the stream, look up at the canyon's carved out artistry, and I felt at home. My spiritual home.
We got giddy - and decided to take a shiny penny and throw it into the stream -- like 3 coins in a fountain... We each found a shiny penny, made our secret wish, and threw it into this beautiful babbling Colorado brook.
Then we stood silently by the stream and knew we had been embraced by God.
Three spiritual sisters - embraced by all that love ... how much greater could my birthday gift be?
So, on this day of summer solstice, I offer my wish for you: embrace EVERY DAY as though it were the most powerful day of your life....(key: because it is.)
